When integrating nanoemulsified CBD hemp oils into your daily regime, it’s important to understand how their absorption rate affects how they are best utilized. Since nanoemulsified hemp oils are absorbed at a quicker rate by the body, its possible to use less than traditional CBD hemp oils. Likewise, you may need more traditional hemp oil than nanoemulsified hemp oil if you plan to substitute the other way around.
Traditionally, hemp oils are produced by mixing hemp extract with MCT, olive or other oil or by directly infusing the hemp into the oil. Nanoemulsified liposomal hemp oils go through extra processing steps to increase their absorption rate. There are benefits to using both products. Minimally processed traditional hemp oils may keep more of the hemp plant compounds in tact, while nanoemulsified hemp oils are absorbed more quickly by the body.
Since nanoemulsified CBD hemp oils have a higher rate of they absorption, they may be used at a lower dosage than traditional hemp oil tinctures or capsules. As a rule if thumb, you can use about 1/3 as much of a nanoemulsified hemp oil. In general:
- 1 mg nanoemulsified liposomal CBD hemp oil = approximately 3 mg traditional CBD hemp oil.
For example:
You can integrate 8 mg of nanoemulsified liposomal CBD hemp oil in place of 25 mg of traditional CBD hemp oil capsules or tinctures. On the other hand you can integrate 25 mg of traditional CBD hemp oil for 8 mg of nanoemulsified liposomal CBD hemp oil. Although you might end up using less nanoemulsified hemp oil, the cost is higher so you end paying about the same price in the end.
In addition to a difference in their dosage, they are also taken differently. Traditional CBD hemp oils should be taken with food. Foods, especially ones high in medium chain fatty acids like nuts, avocados, fatty fish, and eggs help the plant compounds to be absorbed. On the other hand, nanoemulsified liposomal CBD hemp oils are taken on an empty stomach, either 30 minutes before or 2 hours after meals. Either way, place the hemp oil under your tongue for 30 seconds and swish it around before swallowing.
Is one better than the other?
While nanoemulsified liopsomal CBD hemp oils may provide quicker symptom relief, it still may be better to flood the body with more cannabinoids for chronic issues available in a traditional hemp oil. The two products complement their strengths and weaknesses very well. The traditional hemp oil may be used as a base of cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids along with the quickly absorbed nanoemulsified oils for short-term relief. Everyone is different, so its important to experiment a little to see which is best for you.
While you can certainly mix and match full and broad spectrum hemp oil, if you are trying avoid the consumption of THC, remember to stick with other broad spectrum hemp oils.
