Full Spectrum CBD Hemp Extract
Boulder Hemp grows their own hemp using rigorous organic standards in small, hand tendered plots. The full spectrum of plant compounds will provide an entourage of support for the Endocannabinoid System, which is a system within all mammals that strives for healthy balance in the body. Organic hemp extract contains a full-spectrum of CBD, CBC, CBG, CBN, CBDA and terpenes.
CBDA
CBDA is the “raw” form of CBD. The hemp plant does not directly produce CBD. It actually produces cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) which is usually converted to CBD once is is harvested and heated, a process called thermal decarboxylation. CBD and CBDA share many similar therapeutic properties, but also have some important differences:
- CBDA is more easily absorbed (up to 11 times) when taken by mouth , compared to CBD.
- CBDA and CBD both have anti-inflammatory properties, but may act via different mechanisms in the body. For example, unlike CBD, CBDA has been shown to decrease the activity of the COX-2 enzyme, an enzyme responsible for increasing inflammation.
- CBDA may be more potent than CBD for some applications based on studies of rodent models of nausea, stress-induced anxiety, pain and inflammation, and seizures. We don’t know if similar results translate to humans yet, but it is possible that CBDA may be more effective than CBD at lower doses.
It may be with incorporating CBDA int your routine, if you’ve tried CBD in the past in moderate to high amounts (25-50mg) and have been unsatisfied with the results.
CBG
CBG (cannabigerol) is often referred to as the “mother of all cannabinoids.” This is because CBGA, the acidic precursor to CBG, starts off in great abundance in the hemp plant. It then transforms into CBDA or THCA. A small fraction goes on to becomes CBG.
Research on CBG has focused on its neuroprotective effects or its ability to influence neurodegenerative diseases. Chronic neuroinflammation play a significant role in the development of neurodegenerative diseases. Reducing neuroinflammation relies on the ability to protect the neurons in our brain from premature death due to injury, age or another factors. CBG has be shown to exert a positive influence in helping relieve symptoms related to neuroinflammation .
